Liverpool and Chelsea through to semi's

Liverpool are through to the semi-finals of the Champions League after an emphatic win over English rivals Arsenal. The Gunners domintated the first ten minutes and were rewarded for their efforts when Abou Diabyi scored in the 13th minute. However Sami Hyypia headed the ball into the back of the net fifteen mintutes from half time to equalise.

The Reds then took the lead in the 69th minute when Fernando Torres or better known as 'El Nino' in Merseyside made it 2-1. Liverpool kept Arsenal from scoring until they were caught of guard with a fantastic run from Theo Walcott who's clinical pass to Emmanuel Adebayor leveled the score it seemed unlikely that Arsenal were not going to progress. However that was not meant to be, Ryan Babel was brought down in the area and the referee pointed to the spot.! Steven Gerrard stepped in to take the penalty and Liverpool were now in the lead. The win was sealed when Babel out-paced Cesc Fabregas to put the ball in the back of the net.
